Orientation activities officially begin at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 21 with Residential College Floor Meetings, and Freshman Commuter and Transfer Meetings, however all on-campus and University owned housing is accessible for move-in on Thursday starting at 8:30am.
If you are living on the South 40, you will want to enter on Shepley Drive, located off of Big Bend Boulevard. Check in will be located in the lobby of your Residential College.
If you are living in The Village, Millbrook apartments or Greenway, Rosedale, or University Drive, check-in is located on the North Side of Campus in Village House Living Room. (Loop Lofts Residents will check in on-site at the Loop Lofts) If living on the North Side, you will enter the North Side Housing Area from Snow Way Drive. Proceed east along Snow Way. All vehicles must be parked in the parking garage on Snow Way (just north of Fraternity Row) or the parking garage north of the Law School. There will be temporary unloading zones available near ALL buildings. Unattended vehicles will be towed. To exit, take Snow Way to Throop Drive north and out on Forest Park Pkwy.
When you arrive on campus, you will be greeted by Orientation Staff, who will give you directions on where and how to unload your vehicle closest to your Residential College so that you can check in. You will have 30 minutes at this location to unload and then you will be asked to park in a more permanent space on campus. More information on parking for orientation can be found at http://orientation.wustl.edu.
At check-in, the Residential Life and Orientation staff will give you your room key, important information and your personal orientation packet. Your orientation packet contains the orientation schedule, your Student ID, Telephone Information and your U-Pass.
If you are not living on campus, you should plan to attend the Freshman Commuter Meeting or Transfer Welcome. You will receive your orientation packet at these events. Look for times and locations on-line at http://orientation.wustl.edu.
