Parking

Parking Procedures

When you arrive on campus to check in on Thursday, August 21, you will be greeted by Orientation Staff, who will give you directions on where and how to unload your vehicle closest to your Residential Hall or Apartment so that you can check in. You will have 30 minutes at this location to unload and then you will be asked to park in a more permanent space on campus.

Parents will be asked to move their vehicles to the parking lots to the east of Brookings (with the exception of RED permit areas), or to the new Danforth University Center parking garage. Cars parked in these areas will not be ticketed through the end of Parents Orientation, Saturday, August 23.

Unless there are extenuating circumstances, freshmen are not allowed to have cars on campus. This regulation is taken very seriously, and violations of this will have serious implications. For more information, or to contact Parking and Transportation Services, go to http://parking.wustl.edu.

Transfer and commuter students who plan on bringing a car to campus will have to purchase a campus parking pass. This can be done online ahead of time at http://parking.wustl.edu. You may also stop by Parking Services weekdays between 8:30am and 5:00pm on Washington University’s North Campus. Please visit http://parking.wustl.edu/directions.htm for directions to North Campus.

Students should park their vehicles in the lot for which they have a valid parking permit.
