Welcome

Convocation 2006

Welcome to Washington University! We congratulate you on your decision to join our community of scholars.

The staff of the Office of Orientation understands that your needs, as January Program, transfer, and exchange students, are unique. Some of you are already familiar with Wash U or another college or university environment, and your concerns and questions are different from those of first year students who arrived in August. The most valuable services we can give you right now are resources and information.

We also understand that you will arrive on campus in January when most other students are away on break. We have planned a schedule that gives you pertinent information and offers opportunities to spend time with other WU students. The Orientation Executive Board and current transfer students will serve as ambassadors to campus during your Spring Orientation. Please feel free to ask these students questions about WU and their experiences here.

Welcome to Washington University! Whether you are a current student, future student, or parent, our office is here to help make your transition to the Washington University community as easy as possible. We hope that the links to the left will help you begin to navigate your way through our programs and the resources available to you. The Parents link includes information about Parent & Family Orientation, Parent & Family Weekend, and a link to the Parents page. We can’t wait to see you on campus in August!
