Campus Comedy

Express your spontaneous side with Campus Comedy, Wash U’s only performance-based Pre-Orientation program. Learn the basics of improv or sketch comedy and meet other freshmen in a relaxed atmosphere. Work with upperclassmen leaders from the three improv groups on campus, who will help you learn what you need to know about the ins and outs of improv, auditioning, the performing arts at Wash U, and college life. Get to know the Wash U campus and explore student off-campus hotspots. By performing in small groups, you’ll connect with other members of your class and your upperclassmen leaders on a personal level to develop lasting friendships. On the final night, you’ll have the chance to showcase your talents in a completely student-run comedy show!

Campus Comedy is perfect for those interested in performing comedy on campus, those interested in the performing arts, or anyone who wants to get to know Wash U in a fun atmosphere with some awesome people! You don’t have to have any prior experience with improvisation or theater or anything really—just a desire to have fun!
