Freshman Press is an opportunity for incoming students to produce and publish an entire issue of Student Life, covering stories of interest to their fellow incoming peers. Students can write, draw, photograph, market, sell or design their way into the 130-year-old tradition of Washington University's independent newspaper. Students attend workshops with Post-Dispatch staffers,
interview Wash. U. administrators, sell ads, help with the marketing and promotion and contribute their ideas, styles and talents to produce the first issue of the year. All members of Freshman Press, and all students at the University, are encouraged to join the Student Life staff during the academic year. From the top of Brookings Hall to the tunnels under the University, there's always something happening, and Student Life works hard to keep you up to date.NOTE: No previous journalism or marketing experience is necessary.
